So, it happened like they said it would, but Marquez gave his all, and that’s why people love him. This fight was electric, though, with Mayweather desperate to avoid Marquez’s lethal blows by keeping his left shoulder raised and indeed rapidly withdrawing from the fray when Marquez looked to be weighing up a big one. That said, Floyd was amazing, as ever.
